Post Christmas 2010

Thank you note time!

Sully slow to get dirty

Kiera— not so slow to get dirty:)

Took Sully a little bit but he finally had a gooey tactile experience! Getting ready to wash up.

Exhausted from a morning of art— clutching her new gift from Zan Zan.

Big lame bummer— arson led to a complete loss of this building a block and a half away from our house. It is currently being torn down. It was built in 1913 as the Master Bread Factory.

Christmas 2010

A beautiful couple of days celebrating, eating, snuggling, and visiting. We are blessed and thankful beyond measure.

Solstice Ceremony- Kiera eating “fairy berries” asking the fairies to come for a visit on Christmas Day.

Visiting Zannie and Tom at the hotel. Convinced “his” keys would open the hotel door:)

Lovin’ the Zan Zan swim time.

With my back turned, Sully put frosty in his booster and started feeding him nummies- sweet boy.

Book time with chex mix, popcorn, banana ice cream, soup, truffles, and apple cider after the Christmas Eve service at the Unitarian Church

The Santa plate and note for Santa- the berries, chocolate, and water for the fairies!

Awaiting the joy

One of Sully’s favorite presents- tuck tuck!!!

“A bike, a bright and shiny bike and I can even put a bell on it. How did Santa know?”

Grandma and Grandpa post snow shoeing- pancakes, fruit leather, and bacon galore!

Waiting for “Diddie” to wake a from a nap to head to Third Street- Popcorn and spicy pop

Christmas PM with Grandma Cherie- soup and salad, footsie jammies, and a warm fire!

Kiera picked out a perfect gift for Sully-

What the fairies brought Kiera for her reading area

Duluth Grill on the 26th before heading to swim.

Grandpa Tom and his fuzzy ears- Kiera settling down after opening her “contar” (guitar) from Zannie and Tom! WOW!

Sully giving Sissie some love. Kiera was sad that her socks made her leggings look too puffy— Brother always has a way to make her smile.

“Brothie, when I am 7 or 5 I will teach you tricks to do in the bathtub.”

Post Pomegranate Desert- Kiera requested sushi for dinner— nice taste for a 4 year old:)

Winter Solstice 2010

Kiera is down at Grandma “Wori’s” awaiting a performance at the Children’s Theater with Katchmark. My first grad school semester will come to a close after one more final tomorrow night. All in all, a great semester. I will await my grades and take it easy over the next couple of weeks before Spring semester starts!

Beautiful falling snow today- we couldn’t see the Blue Moon Full Lunar Eclipse last night because of the snow- but the snow is welcomed none the less!

Sully and I took off early this morning in the slushly sloppy “snow day” snow to run a few last minute errands and then off to the park we went!

He wasn’t so sure about being in the little sled so I took the sidewalks.  I made the scarf he is wearing for Kiera’s 2nd Christmas. My first, and last (to date) piece of knitted material!

Lights, snow, and Christmas cards in the mail box- our home sweet home.

Drift wood recovered from our wedding site- hanging out until we can resurrect our garden next Spring!

The last remaining pieces of our flower garden. Holding on strong!

Sully loves to eat snow- as does Papa:)

Picture attempt number 49- close enough:) Sully and I swinging at Harrison.

Sarah’s Solstice Soup- delicious and nutritious
